The Importance of Having a Website

With recent developments with certain social media platforms it seems that having a website is still necessary.

It isn't very useful to be barred access to information on the internet. It seems the golden age of the internet (if there ever was such a thing) is over.

My plans are to keep updating my own websites and spend far less time on Twitter (if any) going forward. It is a shame though, there are many people who use these “social” websites and they don’t have their own website or method of updating people.

It has been getting harder to keep up to date with digital art related tech news as a result so I am going to use it as an excuse to concenterate on my own needs rather than the art blog for a while. I’ll leave it to the websites with more resources and more writers. I don’t see things going back to the old days when everyone had their own blog any time soon, and I doubt things will improve for the better but I need to get on with my own things anyway.

I’ve made some new videos on my YouTube channel recently but updates may be sporadic as I have more DIY, gardening and art to do these days.
